Nifty above 8150, Sensex up over 100 pts; Tata Steel, Idea gain -- 29 Nov 2016

                               

The Sensex is up 114.45 points or 0.4 percent at 26464.62 and the Nifty  is up 34.25 points or 0.4 percent at 8161.15. About 1170 shares have advanced, 279 shares declined, and 44 shares are unchanged.

Coal India, HDFC, Tata Steel, Reliance and ONGC are top gainers while Infosys, Hero MotoCorp, Axis Bank, NTPC and TCS are losers in the Sensex.

The 30-share index was trading 101 points higher or 0.38 per cent at 26,449. It touched a high of 26,465.08 and a low of 26,357.56 in morning trade. 

The Nifty50 was trading at 8,154 up 27 points or 0.34 per cent. It touched a high of 8,159.20 and a low of 8,128.70 in the first 30 minutes of trade. 

The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.59 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.72 per cent higher. 

HDFC (up 1.5 per cent), RIL (up 0.9 per cent), Coal India (up 2.03 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki (up 1.08 per cent) were the major Sensex gainers.
